As part of the festivities for the 2nd annual Hemp History Week, songs from CAITLIN COUNTY were featured at an April 28th Hemposium @ Suffolk University. What a thrill to hear local musician Everett Pendleton sing four songs from the County with Hemp historian John Dvorak narrating. Other highlights included the Traveling Hemp Museum, samples of Hemp products, Hemp history in Boston, Hempest owner on being a Hemp industry entrepreneur, and Tufts student sharing his research paper on Hemp plastic. Things I didn't know: - The making of Hemp cordage played a role in the history of Boston's neighborhoods. - The Hempest creates its own fashion line. - Hemp can be used as a primary ingredient in making plastic.
